Micro-Perforated Films

Micro Perforated Films has micro holes that allow air permeation to maintain the rate of respiration. It involves making holes in the film ranging from a diameter of 1 mm to 2 mm either by cold, hot needle or laser process.

Micro perforation is essential for packed vegetables since the film ensures that products can breathe and the air inside the package can be circulated. It helps in sustaining quality, freshness, and integrity of the contents enhancing greater shelf life. Most common is the 5- line micro perforated films: however, we can produce different patterns of micro-perforation as required by the customer or the application.

Fresh Produce Film

Forvara® Fresh Produce Film is manufactured through a specially engineered combination of select food-grade polymers and process innovation to create a product free from any taste or odour. Our PE-based PVC Like (PVCL) films are known for their soft feel and are an eco-friendly alternative to conventional PVC-based fresh produce films.

Forvara® Fresh Produce Film is a specialized film with different attributes covering customized requirements to meet market expectations, specifically for the produce industry. The films are preferred by produce packers, supermarket-owned packers, for case-ready packs, as foodtainers and for deli counters due to their presentation, freshness and extended shelf life, while achieving the highest global food safety standards.

We offer a range of quality fresh produce films with benefits for different produce, such as broccoli, lettuce, carrot, baby corn, cucumber, assembled veggies on a tray, apples, pears and mushrooms. The film has high strength, is easier to handle and minimizes risk of tearing, all while providing added protection to reduce spoilage and wastage.

The fresh produce film is highly transparent, glossy and has exceptional anti-fog properties. It has good moisture and oxygen transmission rate to ensure that the product remains fresh.

Machine Wrap Fresh Produce Film

Our films run efficiently on auto tray wrapping machines like Digi, Ulma, Waldyssa, Hobart, Ishida, Omori and Ossid. The film works with maximum flexibility on high-speed machines and it gives equivalent throughput as compared with PVC films. Our film is used on a wide variety of trays and ensures a sealed pack with minimum film usage.

Manual Wrap Fresh Produce Film

Our packaging films are tailored to make wrapping simple and easy for manual fresh produce wrapping machines. Manual machines have electric heat blades, and our film rolls are easy to unfurl, giving packers professional-looking even cuts without releasing any foul burning smell. Further, it helps the produce trays to get tightly sealed via the bottom hot plate.

Characteristics

Allows wrapping around containers of porcelain, glass, ceramic, steel and certain plastics to seal food without the hassle of film entanglement. It has good film-to-film clinginess.

Exceptional anti-fog properties for see-through packaging of perishables to display in freezers.

Bisphenol A (BPA) free and does not contain any plasticizers (such as phthalates), stabilizers, chlorine content or any chemicals that are harmful to human health.

Does not crack even at sub–zero temperatures of up to <br>-30 °C (-22 °F).

Keeps produce fresh for a longer period, thus increasing its shelf life.

No obnoxious smell compared to PVC films.

Micro-perforated Film

This film has micro holes that allow air permeation to maintain the rate of respiration. Micro-perforation involves making holes in the film ranging from a diameter of 1 mm to 2 mm either by cold or hot needles, or laser processes.

Micro-perforation is essential for packed vegetables, since the film ensures that products can breathe and the air inside the package can be circulated. It helps in sustaining quality, freshness, and integrity of the content, enhancing greater shelf life. Most common is the 5-line micro-perforation — however, we can produce different patterns of micro-perforation as required by the customer or the application.

Biodegradable Film

Specialty Polyfilms is committed to developing sustainable products. After years of research and development, we have successfully introduced biodegradable fresh produce film. With the world moving onto sustainable packaging, our film can be used in packaging of fresh fruit and vegetables, mushrooms, and fresh produce.

The eco-friendly film has technical properties similar to conventional film. With this biodegradable product, we aim to bring about a positive effect on the environment and reduce the use of non-biodegradable single-use plastic.

Printed Film

Produce manufacturers and packers need printing on film for brand building and consumer confidence. We supply printed film in up to six colors using CI Flexo or Gravure processes.

Forvara® Fresh Produce Film has anti-fogging additives to prevent fog build-up on the inside of packages, improving aesthetics and the shelf life of chilled perishables.

Fresh Produce Packaging

Ideal combination of breathability, mechanical performance and aesthetics makes it perfect to wrap all kinds of vegetables, such as broccoli, lettuce, cabbage, green leafy veggies, tomatoes, corn, cucumber, etc. Our product is ideal for tray overwrapping as well as direct overwrapping.

Fruits packaging

The film has good gloss and crystal transparency, which helps enhance the presentation of exotic fruit. The film is suitable for use in large-scale retail trade, and large and medium-sized packaging centers for packaging of apples, pears, etc.

Mushroom Packaging

Mushrooms need to breath actively. The high permeability of this film along with the micro-perforation ensures free exchange of air, keeping mushrooms healthy, fresh and odor-free.

Why Polyethylene?

Polyethylene (PE), the base material used in manufacturing Forvara® & Wrapit® Films, is a simple structure polymer that has the least environmental impact. It is easily recyclable and when annihilated, it burns to hydrogen and carbon without any polluting content.

Polyethylene Films are an ideal replacement for conventional films that contain toxic plasticizers (such as phthalates), hazardous heavy metals (such as lead and mercury), fungicides and other toxic substances that are harmful for human health.

Our new game-changing PVC like (PVCL) Polyethylene film

PVC Like (PVCL) polyethylene films are developed to emulate the key physical attributes of PVC films, like tackiness, softness and transparency. PVCL films have even proved better than the PVC films in many of these attributes.

PVCL polyethylene films have been recognized and placed among the most innovative products in some of the biggest trade shows of the industry, like IFFA–Frankfurt, Germany, 2019 and PLMA–Amsterdam, Netherlands, 2019, to counter the ecological strain caused by the much-debated PVC films.
